Committee Contact
The Lubricants Group is responsible within the American Petroleum Institute for matters pertaining to the performance, applications, and dissemination of information on lubricants. The committee’s functions include the following:
- Provide guidance on the API Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS) and guidelines for engine oil licensing and certification and EOLCS administration and enforcement.
- Develop, approve, and maintain standards and recommended practices on lubricants matters.
